For our 12th Anniversary, we stayed at the brand-new Fairmont in Austin. This is definitely a hotel that I recommend.
But this is a fun story. We originally booked on August 2017 to celebrate New Years’ Eve. The Fairmont was not finished being built yet, though, and they notified us very close to Christmas time. They offered us a complimentary upgrade and we rescheduled for March 2018 (Chris’s birthday), when they REALLY would be open. Except, they were not open. So, we rescheduled again for our anniversary and received another complimentary upgrade. And we got the best suite as a result to celebrate our Anniversary in.
